Avoid Your App Being Banned by Google Play Store

Mobile App is one of the powerful marketing materials to increase product sales and building brand. But, if your app is banned by app store after it is launched, there is a higher possibility that your whole effort can be wasted. So, be careful when developing mobile apps, choose well-versed mobile app developers who have the in-depth understanding of play store. Let’s see what are the possible causes for the ban of apps by Google:

Google Play Store Update

Google Play updated its policy or guidelines on app description on 22nd December 2014(app description is the content that is added when uploading app to play stores). In that update, Google focused more on content quality. If you don’t accept Google play store’s guidelines, your app won’t be accepted by Google. Once the app is uploaded by developers following the policies of Google, Google actively scans it.

If there is any violation of its guidelines, Google warns developers or app owners one or two times. But, if you fail to resolve the things, your app would be sent to the dustbin by Google without a prior notice. Google assists the developers to follow the rules and regulations pertaining to the Play Store. The App Policy Center has clearly mentioned Developer Terms and Policies, Reporting and Enforcement, and Guidelines and Practices.

Google Play Store is Strict

The Apple App store is very strict compared to Google Play Store. But, don’t think like that we can launch any kind of app to Google Play Store. Generally, Play Store is generous when you uploading app, but later the Play store will report app to developers to recheck it.
Play Store Actively checks all apps in the store. If there is an app that breaks the policy of the Play Store, the app will be suspended from Play store immediately.
If you are going to publish your app on the Play Store, suggested to check the rules and regulations first. If you have already published your app in the Play Store without checking the policy, make sure to check the policies before it is published. The Google Play policies are not too complicated. Let’s know the policies now:

Here are the list of Google Play Store guidelines which the developers should follow:

  1. Do not contain users’ reviews in your app description.
  2. Do not add the names of other apps in the app description.
  3. Don’t request the users to change his ratings or reviews for your app.
  4. Don’t request the users to rate better for your app in the exchange of app goodies for users.
  5. Don’t use more and unrelated keywords in your app description.
  6. Don’t use other app’s content in your app, without their permission.
  7. Avoid sending a message or mail to the user, without their permission.
  8. Avoid sending ads with the notifications, and misleading ads

We have mentioned a few cases only here, and there are many guidelines that also you should avoid in order to make your app to be accepted. So, take the right decision, choose the right platform, and hire the right developers to build an app. I hope this article will helpful for all new developers or companies who are planning to develop apps.
